The Yoga Monster Mat came from the desire to provide the finest yoga sticky mat for the best price. Most 1/8" thick sticky mats are too thin and soft and simply do not provide enough cushion for your knees and other sensitive bones for a comfortable yoga practice. The Monster Mat is a generous 1/4" thick with much more density!

It is better to have a mat that is longer than 68 inches so that you won't have to adjust your position so often to stay on the mat, for example having your face be on the mat during chattaranga rather than touching the studio floor. Yoga Monster Mat is 72 inches long which minimizes repositioning and accommodates taller people as well.

You may have also noticed that yoga mats wear out in a couple of areas and only on one side of the mat, the textured side which is always facing up.
